New Service Animal Rules Coming in January
Service Animals Only
Beginning January 11th, 2021, American Airlines will no longer authorize travel for animals that are not defined as service animals.
Our team members are trained to ask certain questions to determine if your animal is a service animal. PSDs are allowed on American Airlines for free and are granted the same rights as other service animals. All pet fees are non-refundable and apply per kennel each way. Fees for transporting your pet with American Airlines Cargo may vary depending on the size and weight of your pet.
