Subhead: Barkley Announces He Will Step Down After 2024-25 Season

WEB Charles Barkley, a beloved and outspoken basketball analyst for TNT, has announced his plans to retire after the 2024-25 NBA season.

"I've Been Thinking About This for a Long Time"

During the broadcast of Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Barkley revealed, "I've been thinking about this for a long time. I've decided that this is going to be my last season on television."

Barkley, who joined TNT's "Inside the NBA" crew in 2000, has become a staple of the sports broadcasting world. Alongside Shaquille O'Neal and Ernie Johnson Jr., he has entertained and informed viewers with his unique blend of analysis, humor, and swagger.

In a statement released by TNT, Barkley expressed his gratitude to the network and his colleagues.

"It's Been a Hell of a Ride"

"It's been a hell of a ride," Barkley said. "I've loved every minute of it, but I think it's time for me to move on to the next chapter in my life."

Barkley's departure will mark the end of an era for TNT's "Inside the NBA." However, the network has already announced that former St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dexter Fowler will join the team next season.
